Perfect! You could put dynamite or a bomb into a minecart and then hit it along the rails so it blows a hole into the wall and opens up secrets, like shops with specialities!
i’d like to have different staircases you can go down to take you to a different environment for the next floor- the mechanic isn’t fully designed yet- will depend on testing/implementation 🙂
Ooh! Ooh! That’d be amazing, being able to choose different next levels! Other than the looks of the levels, are they going to feel and play very differently as well?
Keep up the great work. The forest was the favorite enviro. Would be neat if there was a lever or switch to hoist up mining equipment from the deep that could contain gold, an item, or a monster!
What if the dwarves with their pickaxes had the ability to chisel away large boulders in like statues or tear it down to reveal another summoning circle(though that’s pretty situational)
super situational but still cool 🙂 i’d love to do a pass at the end of secret special-case stuff like this, though realistically we have so much core stuff to do before thinking about it- keep the ideas coming tho, you never know when it will spark something that just fits really easily 🙂
how about unique weapons for the scenes like pickaxes in the mines, a bone wand or staff in the caves, an axe in the forest and a golden sword in the castle?
these new environments have my mind reeling…what the butt is this game going to end up as…this is so beautiful…crawl is going to end up being my favorite game and it’s a local multiplayer game. how have you done this. you are gods…and not the forgotten kind!! x)

haha yeah i’d love to do things like that- maybe some options to work stuff like that into unique traps for the enviros

Is there any set date for THE COMING OF new environments? Also are you guys going to add online multiplayer?
